    Associate Professor Andrew Hilton is Deputy Director of the ICU at the Austin Hospital, Melbourne. He has 25 years experience in the use and teaching of echocardiography in the management of the critically ill patient. He is also an examiner for the Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (Critical Care) and member of the College of Intensive Care Medicine Board. Current research interests include the echocardiographic assessment of diastolic function in the critically ill, and the assessment of peripheral and end-organ perfusion by ultrasound.
