    Associate Professor William Kemp MBBS FRACP PhD is a senior lecture at Monash University Central clinical school and is a clinician and Researcher in the Department of Gastroenterology, Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. A/Prof Kemp completed his undergraduate training at Monash University, Victoria and a obtained his PhD in the study of Portal Hypertension as an NHMRC scholar and research fellow in the Department of Epidemiology and Preventative Medicine. He has an interest in the non-invasive assessment of hepatic fibrosis and has also the been principle investigator or sub-Investigator in over 70 clinical trials in the areas of Hepatology including; Hepatocellular carcinoma, Viral hepatitis, Portal hypertension and NAFLD. In addition to his clinical work and academic research he is a mentor and teacher in the Basic Physician training program and supervisor of Advanced Physician training.
