Originally trained in Ireland, Alistair also spent some of his formative years on a motorcycle as a travelling medic on the Irish Road Racing circuit. This came to an end when he moved to Australia 11 years ago but this has allowed him to pursue my unhealthy interest in ultrasound. He is currently the Chair of the ACEM Ultrasound Committee and passionately believes that ultrasound has the potential to bring transformative change in the way that we assess and manage our patients.
He works as a Staff Specialist in Emergency in the Lyell McEwin Hospital, to the north of Adelaide, and supervises a trainee special skills term in ultrasound.
In the little spare-time he has he also brews his own craft beer.
