Harvey L. Nisenbaum, MD, FACR, FAIUM, FSRU is WFUMB Immediate Past President and has previously served as President of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), President of the Pennsylvania Radiological Society, and President of the Philadelphia Roentgen Ray Society. He is Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and recently retired after 17 years as Chairman of the Department of Medical Imaging at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA. Since his residency his primary interest has been in abdominal, obstetrics and gynecology, vascular, and interventional ultrasound. He has served on numerous committees affiliated with many medical and professional societies and has many publications, abstracts, and presentations to his credit. In the future all medical students and physicians will be using ultrasound after appropriate education and hands-on training, WFUMB’s mission includes helping bring sustainable ultrasound programs to the underserved areas of the world through collaboration, communication and education and also help student ultrasound education worldwide.
