Dr. Yusef Sayeed is an Occupational Medicine Physician with sub-specialty fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management. He is currently serving as the Director of Pain Medicine at the United States Air Force, Department of Defense Eglin Air Force Base in Destin Florida. He graduated from the University of Louisville with both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering. He then completed his Master’s degree in Public Health at the University of Kentucky where he also went to Medical School. He completed a research fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Mayo Clinic. He completed his internship training at the University of Pennsylvania and his residency at West Virginia University where he was Chief Resident and won the prestigious AOHC scholar award and the GME research award for best oral presentation of clinical education. He was awarded this for his work in developing a course in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound for Occupational Medicine residency programs to learn from across the country. This work has been subsequently published as a series in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He has had the honor of serving his community in many ways first as the Assistant to the Commissioner of Public Health for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
