    Dr Jones’ is also the Director of the Vascular Research Consortium of New Zealand, which was established in conjunction with the Vascular Society of New Zealand to invigorate national vascular research collaborations. Greg’s research interests include; developing improved and equitable AAA screening strategies, identifying circulating biomarkers to improve vascular disease risk prediction and the genetic and epigenetic basis of vascular diseases, specifically chronic venous insufficiency, coronary artery disease and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA).  He is a leading member of the International Aneurysm Consortium, a grouping of all the major investigators examining the genetics of AAA, comprising members from the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Iceland, Australia and New Zealand.  His work is currently funded by the Health Research Council of New Zealand.
