Sandra O’Hara is the Deputy Ultrasound Supervisor and a tutor Sonographer at SKG Radiology in Perth. She obtained a research based Master of Medical Sonography in 2015, producing 3 peer reviewed publications incorporating research into ultrasound imaging of the maternal cervix.
Sandra is a Fellow of the ASA and received the award for Western Australian Sonographer of the year at ASA 2016. Sandra has an interest in research and is a PhD candidate with Curtin University. She is currently conducting further research into the use of shear wave elastography for the assessment of the strength of the maternal cervix during pregnancy, for the prediction of preterm birth.
